“Undeniably delicious and drinkable to those that revel in big flavored beers

Drake’s has become a staple of California’s brewing community, with the time, trust, investment, and the community of people surrounding the brewery.
Drakes have racked up countless medals at Great American Beer Fest, the World Beer Cup and Ratebeer top 100 brewers of the world!
Amid the burgeoning micro-brewing community of Bay Area California, two men stepped into the shell of a former Chrysler Dodge factory. Here within the metal and concrete shell that once built industrial equipment, both men saw the potential for a small local brewery.
These men were Roger Lind, the founder of Drake’s Brewery; the other was John Martin, Roger’s friend and former boss from Triple Rock Brewpub of Berkeley.
On the side of the brewhouse wall, Lind spray-painted the word “Brew” in bold blue letters. The simple word was a daily mantra, re-affirming the purpose of Lind’s endeavor amid the pioneer days in the 1980s.
"27 years later, that same “Brew” remains on our brewhouse wall. It continues to serve the same purpose, reminding us that at the heart of all things Drake’s does, we will and always “Brew.”
Now Drakes has a bustling Barrel House serving as a cellar door for their specialty and experimental beers as well as a brewpub/beer garden called the Dealership, which was the shell of the Dodge Dealership, kicking goals on both the food and beer front with their locally sourced and farm fresh menus.
